Kautilya Society, NUSRL, is a student-led initiative established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, New Delhi, on December 16, 2024. The society is dedicated to fostering research and dialogue in law, governance, and public policy. Our work focuses on policy analysis, legislative proposals, and public awareness to bridge the gap between academic study and real-world policymaking. We achieve this through expert-led talks, research projects, and collaborative discussions aimed at enhancing the legal and governance structures of Jharkhand and beyond.

Policy Pe Charcha 2.0 Making of Modern India and a Paradigmatic Policy Shift Over the Years   February 15, 2025 Prof. Aditya Mukherjee, Former JNU Faculty Prof. Mukherjee analyzed India’s economic and governance transitions, explaining key policy shifts from a historical perspective. The discussion emphasized the evolution of policymaking in shaping modern India.

VIDHAN 2025 The Policy Triathlon March 9, 2025, at IIM Ranchi Collaborators: Polytrics, IIM Ranchi; Supported by Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, ADR India, MyNeta; Media Partner: LiveLaw A national-level policy competition featuring Position Paper Submission, Policy Mastermind Quiz, and a Live Policy Hackathon. Participants debated and devised solutions on topics like Universal Basic Income and Social Media Regulation, competing for prizes worth ₹25,000+.
